sl carroll is a brooklyn based writer and multimedia artist who has taken jobs seating tables at restaurants, running coffee for talent agents and organizing interviews for television guests.

in 2021, her short story ‘vanishing act’ won first prize in crazyhorse’s crazyshorts! fiction contest and appeared in crazyhorse no. 99. her short film ‘altar ego’ was screened at watershed studio’s art residency in 2022.

she is currently working on a novel about a woman who turns her body into a museum.
